DKBIKE Wave is designed for the cyclist who wants uncompromising aerodynamics without sacrificing stability on windy days.
The rim's distinctive 50 mm wave shape (Wave profile) breaks up turbulence and significantly reduces wind sensitivity in gusting and crosswinds. Combined with a high-tech braking surface that withstands temperatures of up to 270 °C, the wheelset delivers predictable handling, lightning-fast acceleration, and uncompromising braking power on both flat stretches and technical descents.
The wheelset comes with the thoroughly tested 50 mm Wave profile as standard. You can customize the hubs, finish, and design to perfectly match your bike.

Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you are going to use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they are going to be used in, rider type etc. If you primarily ride in Denmark, however, we would recommend around a 50mm rim height with DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings or ratchet hubs. With this wheelset you achieve good aerodynamics without becoming too wind-sensitive (primarily crosswinds/gusts), a beautiful aesthetic look on your bike, 29mm external width which means you can ride with tires in the width between 25-42mm (38mm most common width for road) and not least DKBIKE hubs that simply roll absolutely fantastically. Here you get an absolutely fantastic Price/Value ratio.
Due to the shape of the wheel, the wheel breaks the wind in a way that makes you not so wind-sensitive as if you ride with a 60mm profile.
The structure in the surface of the Wave is available in matte and in the very special glossy surface

Each spoke has 2 crossings for increased stability and strength. If you want to run a lower profile on the front wheel and a higher profile on the rear wheel, you also have that option. You simply need to specify this in your order.

Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the hands down best and strongest, which is why we also only use these.
Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality. The hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which is also why we have selected our 2 best hubs for you to choose from: Hubs with standard bearings as well as hubs with ceramic bearings.
Both hubs are of the highest quality and roll fantastically. The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings.
The big difference you will find is in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings.
With a price of DKK 7,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply market-leading.
