Description
DKBIKE Wave has a very special design, which is especially important for less wind sensitivity in crosswinds. In addition to the attractive and aerodynamic design, the brake surface is also specially developed to withstand temperatures of up to 270 degrees Celsius.
You have the option of choosing our DKBIKE hub with standard bearings, DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings, DKBIKE Ratchet hub and with DT Swiss 350 and DT Swiss 240 hubs.
You can choose from the following items:
- Profile of the rim - i.e. the height of the rim: 45mm and 57mm
- Hub - here you can choose between 3 DKBIKE hubs and 2 DT Swiss hubs
- You can choose the wheels with Black DKBIKE logo (Standard), White logo or in "Stealth look", i.e. without DKBIKE logo. If you want a white logo or no logo, simply note it in the comments box when ordering
This wheelset has several unmatched qualities found only in absolute high-end wheels. In addition to the 900-day warranty on the rim, the following is a selection of the many strengths of the wheels.
Remember to order brake pads that are intended for carbon wheels. We recommend SwissStop .

Everything you should know about Wave rim brake
Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they are to be used in, type of rider, etc. If you ride primarily in Denmark, we would however recommend around a 57mm rim height with DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings or ratchet hubs. With that wheel set, you achieve good aerodynamics without being overly sensitive to wind (primarily side wind/headwind), nice aesthetic expression on your bike, 29mm outer width which means you can ride with tires between 25-42mm wide (38mm most common width for country road) and not least the DKBIKE hub that quite simply rolls absolutely fantastic. Here you get an absolutely fantastic Price/Value ratio.
Due to the design of the wheel, the wheel breaks the wind in a way that makes you not as wind sensitive as if you ride with a 60mm profile.
The surface structure of Wave is available in matt and in the very special "glossy".
If you want a different cool design on your new wheels, DKBIKE Wave is the choice for you
A carbon wheelset with our hub in this super aerodynamic design for Kr. NOK 6,995 is quite simply spectacular and unique.

Patented hubs with reduced resistance = Incredibly smooth running hub 100% angle match in the spokes.
Each individual spoke has 2 crosses for increased stability and strength. If you want to drive with a lower profile on the front wheel and a higher profile on the rear wheel, you also have the option. You just have to state this in your order.
An example could be a 45mm profile on the front wheel and 57mm on the rear wheel Rim brake - We recommend Swissstop brake pads for carbon rims.
Fits Shimano/Sram 10/11 and 12-speed as standard.
Included in the box: Rim tape, Quick Release and extra spokes.
Spokes: Pillar 1423 - Aerodynamic spokes.
Nipples: Sapim Secure LockMax. rider weight (system weight): 130kg Our wheels are both for Clincher (Tyre/Tube) and Tubeless, i.e. you have the opportunity to try out the solution that suits you best - of course with the same set of wheels.
What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub there are 36 against 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain. If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.
If you want a high-performance hub, we recommend DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings. Hear the sound of ceramic bearings here

If you want the best of both worlds, we recommend ratchet hubs with ceramic bearings. Here you get both the durability of the ratchet and the high performance of ceramic bearings.
It does not require much experience to be able to maintain its wheels.
We have made guides on YouTube where you can see how easy it really is to maintain your bearings.

How is the quality?
At DKBIKE, quality is crucial for us - we only sell carbon wheelsets of the highest quality and, of course, a quality we stand for 100%. We only use the very best carbon available on the market - Japanese Toray carbon.
Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the absolute best and strongest, which is the reason why we also only use these.
Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality. The hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which has also meant that we have selected our 2 best hubs that you can choose from: Hub with standard bearings and hub with ceramic bearings.
Both hubs are top quality and roll great. The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings.
You will find the big difference in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings.
With a price of Kr. NOK 7,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply the market leader.
