Pirelli's patented rubber compound, derived from their motorsport tires, has been adapted for bicycles. This special rubber compound ensures low rolling resistance, high abrasion resistance and good grip on both dry and wet roads.

Functional Groove Design

The tire pattern of the Pirelli Cinturato Velo is designed to perform optimally on wet roads thanks to Pirelli's FGD technology, normally used in the development of motorcycle tires. The tire has a smooth center line and pattern down the tire's shoulders, which effectively directs water away and thus ensures low rolling resistance and good road grip.
