Description
DKBIKE carbon wheel set for rim brake - UCI Approved wheels
UCI approved carbon bicycle wheels. You have the option of choosing our DKBIKE hub with standard bearings, DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings, as well as with DT Swiss 350 and DT Swiss 240 hubs.
You can choose from the following items:
- Profile of the rim - i.e. the height of the rim
- Outer width of the rim, which is important for how wide tires you can drive
- Hub - here you can choose between 2 DKBIKE hubs and 2 DT Swiss hubs
This wheelset has several unmatched qualities found only in absolute high-end wheels. In addition to the 900-day warranty on the rim, the following is a selection of the many strengths of the wheels.
Remember to order brake pads that are intended for carbon wheels. We recommend SwissStop .
Weight of the wheelset and recommended tire width
Weight for the wheels (Approx. weight - small deviations may occur of +/-30g) - respectively 25mm for the profiles 38mm, 50mm and 60mm and 27mm outer width rims for the 88mm profile. If you wish otherwise, a construction and delivery time of 4-6 weeks must be expected.
Also see the test of our DKBIKE carbon wheelset for disc brakes that Feltet.dk has carried out. Great result where special performance is praised to the skies, including how well they roll and how stiff the rims are (= maximum power transfer). The rim for disc brakes is the same as for rim brakes, just as performance is identical on the hubs. You can read the test here.
Feltet.dk has also tested our Gravel wheelset - again here the same carbon fibers are used = same quality on Gravel as on our road wheels - you can read the test here.
Delivery time: See the delivery time for each individual wheel set with various specifications.
Otherwise, we build the guide wheels according to your order. Therefore, there is a delivery time of approx. 4-6 weeks. We hurry everything we can - fortunately, good things are worth waiting for.

Everything you should know about DKBIKE Road
Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they are to be used in, type of rider, etc. If you ride primarily in Denmark, however, we would recommend 50mm rim height, 25mm outer width and DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings. With that wheel set, you achieve good aerodynamics without being overly sensitive to wind (primarily side wind/headwind), nice aesthetic expression on your bike, 25mm outer width which means you can ride with tires between 23-28mm wide (most common width for country roads ) and not least DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings that quite simply roll absolutely and absolutely fantastic. Here you get an absolutely fantastic Price/Value ratio.
A carbon wheel set with ceramic bearings for DKK. NOK 6,995 is quite simply spectacular and unique.
Highlights
- Patented hubs with reduced resistance = Incredibly smooth running hub
- 100% angle match in the spokes. Each individual spoke has 2 crosses for increased stability and strength
- If you want to drive with a lower profile on the front wheel and a higher profile on the rear wheel, you also have the option. You just have to state this in your order. An example could be a 50mm profile on the front wheel and 60mm on the rear wheel
- Rim brake - We recommend Swissstop brake pads for carbon rims
- Fits Shimano/Sram 11-speed as standard. If you drive 10-speed, note this in the comments field when ordering - we will then send the spacer.
- If you drive SRAM 12-speed, this must also be stated in the comments field when ordering.
- The box includes:
- Rim tape
Quick Release - Spokes: Pillar 1423 - Aerodynamic spokes
- Nipples: Sapim Secure Lock
- Max. rider weight (system weight): 130kg
- Our wheels are both for Clincher (Tyre/Tube) and Tubeless, i.e. you have the opportunity to try out the solution that suits you best - of course with the same set of wheels
What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub there are 36 against 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain. If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.
If you want a high-performance hub, we recommend DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings. Hear the sound of ceramic bearings here
If you want a more durable hub and generally easier to maintain, we would recommend the ratchet hub. Hear the sound of the ratchet hub here
It does not require much experience to be able to maintain its wheels.
We have made a video where you can see how easy it really is to maintain your bearings.

How is the quality?
At DKBIKE, quality is crucial for us - we only sell carbon wheelsets of the highest quality and, of course, a quality we stand for 100%. We only use the very best carbon available on the market - Japanese Toray carbon.
Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the absolute best and strongest, which is the reason why we also only use these.
Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality.
The hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which has also meant that we have selected our 2 best hubs that you can choose from: Hub with standard bearings and hub with ceramic bearings.
Both hubs are top quality and roll great.
The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings.
You will find the big difference in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings. With a price of Kr. NOK 6,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply the market leader.
