Feltet.dk has tested our carbon gravel wheel set - with absolute Top-Character as a result: 9 out of 10 bikes
The test of our DKBIKE carbon gravel wheel set gave a fantastically nice character, where performance is particularly praised to the skies, including how well they roll and how stiff the rims are (= maximum power transfer). You can read the test here.
Delivery time: We build the wheels according to your order. Therefore, there is a delivery time of approx. 4-6 weeks. We hurry everything we can - fortunately, good things are worth waiting for.
Everything you should know about DKBIKE Gravel
Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they should be used in, type of rider, etc. If you primarily ride in Denmark on the Danish forest roads and large forest paths, we would however recommend our Bestseller: 35mm rim height, 32mm outer width, 22mm inner width with DKBIKE hub with ceramic bearings. With that wheel set, you achieve a nice aesthetic expression on your bike, comfort, extremely stiff rims (= maximum power transfer) and responsive wheels that react in all kinds of terrain. Here you get an absolutely fantastic Price/Value ratio. A gravel carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings for DKK. NOK 6,995 is quite simply spectacular and unique.
Gravel highlights
- DKBIKE hub - With standard bearings and ceramic bearings = Incredibly smooth running hub
- 100% angle match in the spokes. Each individual spoke has 2 crosses for increased stability and strength
- If you want to drive with a lower profile on the front wheel and a higher profile on the rear wheel, you also have the option. You just have to state this in your order in the note field. Note that the outside width may be different - see the table below
- Fits Shimano/Sram 11-speed as standard. Spacer is included, which means you can also drive 10-speed
- Included in the box: Rim tape and 10-speed spacer
- Spokes: Pillar 1423 - Aerodynamic spokes
- Nipples: Sapim Secure Lock
- Thru axle - Standard dimensions: Front = 12*100mm - Rear =12*142mm
- The wheels are standard for Centerlock - If you want the wheels to be for 6-bolts, you can indicate this in the comments box when ordering
- Max. rider weight (system weight): 125kg
- Our wheels are both for Clincher (Tyre/Tube) and Tubeless, i.e. you have the opportunity to try out the solution that suits you best
- Finally, contact us if you want changes in relation to the above, e.g. 6 bolt mounting or XD body
The weight varies depending on rim height and thus rim width. Example of weight for our Bestseller (which Feltet.dk has also tested - see below): 35mm rim height, 32mm outer width, 22mm inner width: 1580 grams (+/-30 grams). If you want Sapim CX Ray spokes, there is a weight saving of approx. 110 grams - there is an extra price of DKK. NOK 600 - please contact us if you want this
What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub there are 36 against 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain.
If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll. For most people, we recommend the Ratchet hub as it rolls close to the hub with ceramic bearings and also has a "plus" in wear resistance and maintenance

How is the quality?
At DKBIKE, quality is crucial for us - we only sell carbon wheelsets of the highest quality and, of course, a quality we stand for 100%. We only use the very best carbon available on the market - Japanese Toray carbon. Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the absolute best and strongest, which is the reason why we also only use these. Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality. The hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which has also meant that we have selected our 2 best hubs that you can choose from: Hub with standard bearings and hub with ceramic bearings. Both hubs are top quality and roll great. The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings. You will find the big difference in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings. With a price of Kr. NOK 6,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply the market leader.
