DKBIKE Road Feather wheelset - Rim brake - For those who want the lightest and stiffest wheelset - Mountain and competition wheelset. You have the option of choosing the wheels in different profiles and hubs.
You can choose from the following items:
- Profile of the rim - i.e. the height of the rim. Read our recommendation at the bottom of the page.
- Hub - here you can choose from 4 different hubs
- You have the option of choosing which cassette housing you drive with. Choose Shimano or SRAM 12-speed (XDR) here
This wheelset has several unmatched qualities found only in absolute high-end wheels. In addition to the 900-day warranty on the rim, the following is a selection of the many strengths of the wheels.

How do these wheels differ from the other DKBIKE wheelsets?
DKBIKE Road Feather differs by having a significantly lower weight and is both laterally and vertically stiffer; mind you, without it having a negative impact on the characteristics of the wheels. How then can it be achieved?
- A special technology is used in the manufacturing process - it takes longer but in return results in the wheels achieving a wide range of benefits
- A different combination of carbon fibers is used with a very special combination of T800 and T1000 carbon fibers
- The effect is that the lateral stiffness is 22% improved compared to our normal wheels and 10% improved vertical stiffness
- The choice of material and the combination - combined with the use of lightweight spokes - means that we can achieve the very low weight of the wheels

Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim height, rim width and hub is difficult as it depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they should be used in, type of rider, etc.
If you are a mountain rider who loves to rush up and down, then Feather is just the right wheelset for you. We recommend 40mm profile for mountain driving, for least wind sensitivity.
We recommend the DKBIKE Ratchet hub with Ceramic bearings - the best of both worlds.
If you primarily ride in Denmark and competitions, we would recommend you around a 50mm rim height with DKBIKE Ratchet hub with Ceramic bearings - the best of both worlds.
With this wheel set, you can achieve good aerodynamics without being too sensitive to the wind
(primarily side wind/headwind), nice aesthetic expression on your bike, 29mm outer width which means you can ride with tires between 25-38mm wide
(most common width for country roads) and not least DKBIKE hub that quite simply rolls completely and utterly fantastic.

What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub there are 36 against 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain. If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.

Fik en fantastisk service og rundvisning I show room i Vejle og endte også med at købe et sæt feather 50mm med keramisk lejer til fælgbremse som jeg glæder mig max til at køre på til foråret.

Ved forsinkelse af levering, måske lidt mere info, og gerne lidt før. Måtte selv rykke efter svar, da leveringstiden gik 7 dage over aftalt tid.
Jeg tog chancen og bestilte et feather hjulsæt med keramiske lejer fra Dkbike til fælgbremser. Jeg kender intet til deres hjul, så det var en chance jeg tog.
Det er klart det bedste hjulsæt jeg har haft til dato, super stift og super let. 1330g på min vægt selvom de står til at veje 1376g med dk bike nav med keramiske lejer.
Bremsefladen på fælgene er anderledes end mine forrige Carbon hjul, men bremser ligeså dårligt som alle andre Carbon fælge med fælgbremser.
Fælgbredde indvendig måler jeg til 20mm og 28mm udvendig.
Et super stift og svine let Carbon hjulsæt til 8995kr er faktisk billigt, hvis du skal have tilsvarende i vægt og stivhed fra top mærkerne er det minimum dobbelt pris.
Dkbike nav har en pæn høj lyd i friløbet så du ikke behøver ringeklokke for at gøre andre cykelister opmærksom på at du kommer bag fra. Ratchet nav skulle larme mindre.
