DKBIKE Feather - The wheelset for you who want a super lightweight wheelset for mountains, competition, or simply want the best of the best. For example, our DKBIKE Feather in a 40mm profile with Ratchet hubs weighs only 1,314 grams - a market-leading wheelset at that price.
Our Feather wheelsets have a large internal width that allows you to ride with tire sizes between 25-42mm. This means you can use the wheels for road cycling, in the mountains, as well as with gravel tires up to 42mm wide. In other words, it is a very versatile wheelset that you can use for most purposes.
You can choose from the following options:
- Rim profile - i.e., the height of the rim - Our DKBIKE Feather is available in 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, and 65mm profiles respectively. Read more about choosing a profile here
- Hubs - here you can choose between 2 DKBIKE hubs: Hubs with ceramic bearings and Ratchet hubs, as well as 2 DT Swiss hubs
- If you ride with SRAM 12-speed, simply write in the comments box when ordering that you want the wheelset with a 12-speed cassette body - we will then build it so you can use your 12-speed groupset
- You can choose the wheels with either a black DKBIKE logo (standard), white logo, or in a "Stealth look," i.e., without the DKBIKE logo. If you want a white logo or no logo, simply note this in the comments box when ordering
- The standard finish is matte - with ceramic bearings and the Ratchet hub. However, we can also make them in a glossy version
How do these wheels differ from the other DKBIKE wheelsets?
The DKBIKE Feather differs by having a significantly lower weight and being both laterally and vertically stiffer; all without negatively affecting the performance characteristics of the wheels. With these wheels, you get a perfect mountain wheel, competition wheel, or simply a wheel for those who want one of the lightest setups available. How is this achieved?
- A special technology is used in the manufacturing process - it takes longer, but in return, it results in the wheels gaining a long list of advantages
- A different combination of carbon fibers is used with a very special blend of T800 and T1000 carbon fibers
- The effect is that the lateral stiffness is improved by 22% compared to our regular wheels, and vertical stiffness is improved by 10%
- The choice and combination of materials - combined with the use of lightweight spokes - enables us to achieve the very low weight of the wheels

All our wheels are built to be stiff, durable, and capable of handling most terrains. For the same reason, our road bike wheels can also handle gravel riding - proof that our wheels are extremely strong and durable.
If you would like DT Swiss hubs or the glossy look, we build the wheels to your order. Therefore, there is a delivery time of approx. 6 weeks. We hurry as much as we can - fortunately, good things are worth waiting for.

Profile and tire width
The choice of rim height and hub depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they should be used in, type of rider, etc.
If you primarily drive in Denmark, we would however recommend that you go for profiles between 40-65mm rim height with DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings or ratchet hubs.
With that wheel set, you achieve good aerodynamics without being overly sensitive to wind (mainly crosswinds/headwinds).
Our DKBIKE Feather has an incredibly nice "clean" aesthetic expression and will adorn any bike - including your bike. 28mm external width which means you can drive with tires between 25-42mm wide and not least DKBIKE hub which quite simply rolls completely and utterly fantastic.

Ceramic bearings or Ratchet hub
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself.
In the Ratchet hub there are 36 contact points, while there are 6 pawls in the hub with ceramic bearings and easy to clean.
This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain.
If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.
For Feather wheelsets, we recommend the Ratchet hub with ceramic bearings, as it rolls like the hub with ceramic bearings, is lighter and has a "plus" in wear resistance and maintenance, the best of both worlds.
