DKBIKE Feather - The wheelset for you who want a super lightweight wheelset for mountains, competition or just to have the best of the best. Eg. our DKBIKE Feather in 40mm profile with Ratchet hub weighs only 1,314 grams - market-leading wheelset at that price.
Our Feather wheelset has a large inner width that allows you to drive with tire sizes between 25-42mm. That is you can use the wheels both when driving on country roads, in mountains and with gravel tires up to 42mm wide. In other words, it is a very versatile wheel set that you can use for the vast majority of purposes.
You can choose from the following options:
- Profile of the rim - i.e. the height of the rim - Our DKBIKE Feather is available in 40mm, 45mm, 50mm and 65mm profile. Read any more about choosing profile here
- Hub - here you can choose between 2 DKBIKE hubs: Hub with ceramic bearings and Ratchet hub and 2 DT Swiss hubs
- Are you driving along? SRAM 12-speed all you have to do is write that you want the wheelset with a cassette housing for 12-speed when ordering in the comments box - then we will build it so you can drive with your 12-speed gear group
- You can choose the wheels with Black DKBIKE logo (Standard), White logo or in "Stealth look", i.e. without DKBIKE logo. If you want a white logo or no logo, simply note it in the comments box when ordering
- The standard finish is matt look - with the bearings with ceramic bearings and the Ratchet hub. However, we can also make them in a shiny version
How do these wheels differ from the other DKBIKE wheelsets?
DKBIKE Feather differs by having a significantly lower weight and is both laterally and vertically stiffer; mind you, without it having a negative impact on the characteristics of the wheels. How then can it be achieved?
- A special technology is used in the manufacturing process - it takes longer but in return results in the wheels achieving a wide range of benefits
- A different combination of carbon fibers is used with a very special combination of T800 and T1000 carbon fibers
- The effect is that the lateral stiffness is 22% improved compared to our normal wheels and 10% improved vertical stiffness
- The choice of material and the combination - combined with the use of lightweight spokes - means that we can achieve the very low weight of the wheels

All our wheels are built so that they are rigid, durable and can withstand most terrains. For the same reason, our road wheels can also handle gravel - proof that our wheels are extremely strong and durable.
If you want DT Swiss hubs or in the shiny look, we build the wheels to your order. Therefore, there is a delivery time of approx. 6 weeks. We hurry everything we can - fortunately, good things are worth waiting for.

Profile and tire width
The choice of rim height and hub depends on what you will use the wheels for, i.e. what terrain they should be used in, type of rider, etc.
If you primarily drive in Denmark, we would however recommend that you go for profiles between 40-65mm rim height with DKBIKE hubs with ceramic bearings or ratchet hubs.
With that wheel set, you achieve good aerodynamics without being overly sensitive to wind (mainly crosswinds/headwinds).
Our DKBIKE Feather has an incredibly nice "clean" aesthetic expression and will adorn any bike - including your bike. 28mm external width which means you can drive with tires between 25-42mm wide and not least DKBIKE hub which quite simply rolls completely and utterly fantastic.

Ceramic bearings or Ratchet hub
The difference lies i.a. in the number of contact points between the cassette housing and the hub itself.
In the Ratchet hub there are 36 contact points, while there are 6 pawls in the hub with ceramic bearings and easy to clean.
This means that the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and generally maintain.
If you are mostly looking for a high-performance hub, ceramic bearings are slightly easier to roll.
For Feather wheelsets, we recommend the Ratchet hub with ceramic bearings, as it rolls like the hub with ceramic bearings, is lighter and has a "plus" in wear resistance and maintenance, the best of both worlds.

Vægten er lav, udseendet er super og lyden endnu bedre, god service fra DKBIKE samt hurtig levering. Kan kun anbefale DKBIKE når det handler om fede hjul til din cykel.
Har lige købt et Carbonhjulsæt fra DKBIKE model Feather. De kører supergodt, ser godt ud og koster tæt på det halve i forhold til mere kendte udenlandske producenters hjulsæt. Vægten er lav, udseendet er super og lyden endnu bedre. Desuden god service fra DKBIKE samt hurtig levering. Kan kun anbefale DKBIKE når det handler om fede hjul til din cykel.
En helt igennem god og meget prof behandling og rådgivning fra DKBIKE. Jeg valgte DKBIKE højprofiler med keramiske lejer. Hjulene er efter min oplevelse fuldt på højde med mit langt dyrere Strike højprofil sæt. DKBIKE har min varmeste anbefaling.
