Description
This brake pad, Resin L05A/L03A with cooling fins from Shimano, is specially designed for use with road bike brake calipers. It fits the BR-RS505 brake caliper.
Application
This brake pad is compatible with the BR-RS505 brake caliper, which is often used on road bikes.
Specifications
- Brake pad set including split pin
- Area of use: Road
- Fits Shimano brake calipers BR-RS505, BR-RS805, BR-R8070
- Model: Resin L05A/L03A with cooling fins, replaces G03A and G02A
Installation
To install the pads on most models, it is recommended to start by removing the wheel and then pushing the pistons back into the caliper using a special tool or a large flathead screwdriver. Remove the old brake pads by taking out the split pin or removing the screw. Install the new pads and wipe the brake disc with disc brake cleaner. See the enclosed PDF file for further installation instructions.
Safety and quality
This brake pad ensures stable and precise braking performance, and the cooling fins help keep the temperature down during intense use. Avoid touching the disc and brake caliper immediately after riding, as they can get very hot. Ensure that the brake pads and brake discs are free of oil and grease, as this can affect braking performance. If the brakes start to make noise, the pads may be worn down. Check that each pad has a thickness of at least 0.5 mm; if not, they should be replaced.
Maintenance
If the brake pads lose their effectiveness, it may be due to overheating. The problem can be solved by removing the pads and carefully sanding the brake lining with sandpaper.
