Disc wheel: Become even faster when riding Triathlon or Time Trial (TT)

Disc wheels are great to ride with if you are going to do a time trial or triathlon. Disc wheels provide less wind resistance than traditional spoked wheels. Even though disc wheels are slightly heavier than traditional spoked wheels, this is offset by the reduced wind resistance. You can supplement your disc wheel with a more specialized and aerodynamic front wheel, which can optimize your performance in the race against the clock. Our 82mm or 60mm front wheels would be a perfect match for the disc wheel.

The disc wheel itself is made of carbon. This helps keep the weight down and the stiffness at the top. However, a disc wheel will always be slightly heavier. This is primarily due to the large amount of material that makes up the disc wheel itself. We have different disc wheels - depending on what you want to achieve. We have both very competitively priced disc wheels, as well as super lightweight disc wheels that offer ultra-low weight of approx. 970 grams and extremely high performance. The choice is yours.

Disc wheel - Tubeless and Clincher (Tire/Tube)

Our DKBIKE Disc wheels are all suitable for both tire/tube and tubeless. Use the included rim tape regardless of whether you are riding with tubes or tubeless. It is the ultimate freedom. With a tubeless setup, you minimize the risk of punctures that can take you out of the game during time trials or triathlons.  

A fast front wheel to compliment the rear wheel

If you mainly ride on flat roads, you can benefit from riding with a more aerodynamic front wheel and in this way gain extra speed. A wheel with a lower profile is not affected by the wind to the same degree. The disc wheel, which sits at the rear, will not be exposed to wind to the same degree as the front wheel. Therefore, in many cases, you can overcome this problem by replacing your front wheel. In this way, you simultaneously maintain optimal aerodynamics despite difficult conditions.
