Everything you need to know about DKBIKE Gravel
Which profile should we choose?
Recommending a rim depth, rim width, and hub is difficult, as it depends on what you intend to use the wheels for—i.e., the terrain, rider type, etc.
If you ride gravel races and want speed, a 45mm profile is fantastic.
If you ride in very muddy off-road conditions, the 38mm profile wins.
Conversely, there is also the aesthetic aspect—how much do you want your rims to stand out?
Our recommendation for the hub is clearly our Ratchet hub with ceramic bearings. Here, you get the highest performance with ceramic bearings and high durability with the ratchet hub; it is our clear recommendation every time we talk about gravel.
With the DKBIKE Gravel Feather wheelset, you achieve a beautiful aesthetic look for your bike, comfort, extremely stiff rims (= maximum power transfer), and responsive wheels that react in all kinds of terrain. Here, you get a fantastic price/value ratio. A gravel carbon wheelset with Ratchet hubs and ceramic bearings for DKK 7,995 is simply spectacular and unique.

The weight varies depending on rim height and thereby rim width.
What is the difference between ratchet and ceramic bearings?
The difference lies, among other things, in the number of contact points between the cassette body and the hub itself. In the Ratchet hub, there are 36 compared to 6 in the hub with ceramic bearings. This means the Ratchet hub is more durable and is really easy to clean and maintain in general.
If you are mainly looking for a high-performance hub, the one with ceramic bearings is slightly smoother-rolling. For most people, we recommend the Ratchet hub as it rolls close to the hub with ceramic bearings and, in addition, has a "plus" in terms of durability and maintenance
If you want the best of both worlds, it is the Ratchet hub with ceramic bearings. Here you get high performance with ceramic bearings and high durability from the Ratchet hub.

How is the quality?
At DKBIKE, quality is essential to us - we only sell carbon wheelsets of the highest quality, and furthermore, a quality we stand 100% behind. We only use the very best carbon available on the market - Japanese Toray carbon. Within the industry, these carbon fibers are known as the definitively best and strongest, which is why they are the only ones we use. Our own DKBIKE hubs are also of the highest quality. Hubs are crucial for low rolling resistance and stability, which is why we have selected our 2 best hubs for you to choose from: hubs with standard bearings and hubs with ceramic bearings. Both hubs are of the highest quality and roll fantastically. The hub with ceramic bearings has the same durability as the hub with standard bearings. The major difference lies in the rolling resistance, which is lower in the hub with ceramic bearings. With a price of DKK 7,995 for a carbon wheelset with ceramic bearings, it is our clear recommendation - it is quite simply market-leading.
